Over the course of the last nine years, I have found a common attitude based on the premise that a client should "earn" their tattoo. Although this may be common, it doesn’t make it correct. I don't believe someone should have to pay mentally and emotionally as well as financially for their tattoo. This is not to say other shops or artists are doing it wrong. It’s just not how I want to do it. I have spent many years working in various customer-oriented fields, from coffee and airports, to chiropractic care. With any job there will always be highs and lows as well as variables that may be out of your control. The one core aspect often overlooked is not that “The Customer is Always Right”, but in treating them with care and respect regardless of who is right or wrong, you will always create the best possible outcome. My goal is to create an environment that is calm and enjoyable for my clients as well as myself. If you give respect you will get respect. I will always do my best to create body art that you will be proud to have for life, as well as an overall enjoyable and stress-free atmosphere not often found in a tattoo shop. When it comes to pricing, my rates are extremely reasonable based on the average shop rates you will find. I will be the first to admit that when I started tattooing, the money was a huge motivator. I actually charged more than I do now. Four years into my career I was forced to switch gears. I found myself relying on the care and expertise of others during a three month stay in the hospital. Learning to walk, talk, and eat again as an adult gave me the opportunity to re-evaluate my priorities and things most take for granted. It took me 8 months of relentless hard work to start tattooing again, but I had the right motives in place this time. I do it because I love it. I am not telling you this for sympathy but to give you insight. In order to insure I can keep my rates affordable I have chosen to sustain another job. With a consistent paycheck I am able to spend less time worrying about finances and overhead. This allows me to dedicate more time to making sure I get you the tattoo you really want. Which is also why I work by appointment only. I will do extensive research and work with you until we get it right. If you want a tattoo quick in a more traditional environment there are plenty of shops to choose from that will do a good job. However, if you have ever found yourself intimidated or hesitant to get a tattoo based on the confrontational or abrasive stereotype you see on TV, I hope you will contact me. My shop is a private studio where you will get an unprecedented standard of cleanliness as well as a one on one focused and attentive service you can’t beat.
